We hope all of our employees, members, and family had a safe and amazing New Years! We cannot wait to see what 2024 will bring for Fostering Hope. Our programs all started their year off strong with many activities and our GSE program jumped right back to work on the farm property. Keep on reading to see what January is bringing to each program and what activities to look out for.
Our GSE program is busy and excited to set off into their 2024 adventures. This month, our members and staff dedicated their Wisdom Wednesdays to learning about New Years Resolutions. They participated in a show and tell and enjoyed Karaoke, Bowling, and trips to the local library. Check out a few pictures if their bowling adventure!
Our GSE staff also incorporates Mindful and Motivation Mondays along with Team Thursdays. This allows our members to learn new vocational and social skills as well as mental health techniques. The topics for January included setting goals, good attitudes, and team building included karaoke and trivia days.
Our DTA Program has also been excited to venture into the new year. They have kicked off the new year celebrating VERY important holidays, such as National Spaghetti Day and National Popcorn Day. They enjoyed a movie and snacks on Popcorn Day!
They have had a fun time exploring S.T.E.M. and art, with projects such as the science of slime making and art projects such as sand art. Our program has begun teaching kitchen safety during their cooking skills time and they have started practicing new recipes! Pictures coming soon.
